I subscribed, but the books are still locked
Tap the gear at the top right, answer the grown-ups question (or enter your code), open Subscription & help and choose Restore purchases.
Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple account you subscribed with.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Apple manages every subscription. On your iPhone or iPad open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then DreamBug.
If you cancel, you keep DreamBug Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I have forgotten my parent code
On the code screen, tap Forgot code? and answer the grown-ups questions. You can then set a new code. Nothing else is lost.
How many children can use DreamBug?
The free books, Monthly and Annual each allow up to 2 readers on a device. The Family plan allows up to 6. Every reader gets their own shelf, favourites and reading progress.
Does DreamBug work offline?
Yes. The four free books are built into the app. With DreamBug Pro, a book downloads the first time it is opened, on any connection, and after that it reads with the wifi switched off.
To see or remove downloaded books, open Subscription & help, then Storage.
How do I record a story in my own voice?
In the parents area, open Your voice, choose a book and record it one page at a time. When at least one page is recorded, a Listen button appears on that book for your child.
Recordings stay on the device and are never uploaded.
A book will not open, or a page looks wrong
Close DreamBug fully and open it again. For a Pro book that has not been read before, check that the device is online for its first download.
If it happens again, email us the name of the book and the page number and we will fix the book itself.
Which devices does DreamBug run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 15 or later. Books are shown in landscape, so turn the device on its side.
Is DreamBug safe for my child?
There are no ads, no chat, no browser and no links a child can follow. Purchases and settings sit behind a grown-ups question or your own code. Nothing that identifies your child leaves the device. The details are in our privacy policy.
